Thirteen years, one signal
Since a Thursday night in 2013, Rewind It has aired 2,801 Radio shows , totalling 4,890 hours of music from 81 artists. What follows is the whole story, told by the archive itself.
2013
The first signal
On a Thursday night in November 2013 a signal left Guarda carrying ninety minutes of dub.
It was the start of a ritual, every Thursday, nine o’clock.
2014 – 2016
The weekly ritual
For three years Rewind It aired weekly shows, fifty-two Thursdays a year, every one of them numbered.
The first family formed around the signal: B.Riddim, DIOGO, Pedro Arruda, Dj Left, Techtouch.

The archive comes online
Three years of radio shows needed a home. In 2017 the archive moved onto rewindit.fm.

2018 – 2019
The roster expands
One show a week became many shows a night, and a wave of new residents began broadcasting from far beyond Guarda.

2020 · LOCKDOWN
The world stops. The signal doesn’t.
When everything closed, Rewind It did the opposite. April 2020 became the loudest month in Rewind It history, a show going out every nine and a half hours.
And that July, quietly, the numbered era ended. The count had run for seven years. What came next had names instead of numbers.

The residency era
The next era started with monthly residencies, each with a name of its own. A programme guide written by the artists themselves.
